Ryder Sorace
First Year Instructor

Hello! My name is Ryder Sorace.
I’m currently a student at Dawson County High School, where I maintain a 4.3 GPA while enrolled in AP and dual enrollment courses. I’m actively involved in several academic organizations, including the BETA Club, National Honor Society (NHS), and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). After high school, I plan to continue my academic and athletic journey by playing Division I baseball at the collegiate level — a goal driven by my lifelong love for the game.
Baseball has been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve been playing since I could crawl, and while I know I won’t be able to play forever, my passion for the sport has also led me to coaching. Guiding younger athletes and helping them develop their skills has become one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
Outside of baseball, I’m a huge fan of the outdoors. I live on the lake and have spent countless hours learning nearly every water sport — from wakeboarding and slalom skiing to barefooting, surfing, and foiling. I also enjoy camping, long hikes, traveling to new places, running, and weight training. Staying active is a big part of who I am, but so is my faith. I love attending church and find purpose in sharing my faith and helping others build a relationship with the Lord.
I’ve been a part of the Swim Warriors team for over a year now, and it’s truly one of the highlights of my life. Teaching kids water safety and survival skills, watching them grow in confidence, and connecting with both children and their families brings me real joy. I’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of students of various ages and abilities, and every interaction reminds me how important — and fulfilling — this work is.
I am certified in CPR/AED/First Aid in adult and pediatrics through the American Heart Association. The Swim Warriors family is something special, and I’m grateful to be a part of it.
"I’d definitely have to say that my best advice that I can give to you all is to trust the process. Some kids may learn quickly and some may not and at some points it may seem like your kid isn’t improving at all but especially with such a life essential ability, I’d just always remind yourself to trust the process"
