MK Cootware
First Year Instructor

Hello Swim Warriors Families,

My name is MK Cootware, and I’m excited to join Swim Warriors as a first-year swim instructor. While this is my first year with the team, I bring four years of experience coaching children and have a deep passion for working with young swimmers. I truly enjoy getting to know each child's unique personality, and their energy and humor always brighten my day. I am certified in CPR,AED, First Aid in adult and pediatrics through the American Heart Association.

I have had the privilege of working with many children with special needs, particularly those with autism and speech impediments. As someone who has a speech impediment myself, I value creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all swimmers.

Currently, I am a student at Lumpkin County High School and also dual-enrolled at Lanier Technical College. Looking ahead, I plan to pursue a career in hairstyling and further my education by earning a master’s degree.
Outside of the pool, I enjoy gymnastics, participating in JROTC Raiders, and staying active with friends and family.
I am honored to be a part of your child’s swimming journey and look forward to a fun, safe, and rewarding season together at Swim Warriors!

Warm regards,
MK Cootware
"My advice for parents is to trust the process with swimming. For a few weeks it will be hard but trust me it will get better and they will start to enjoy lessons"
