Hello, my name is Milana Hyatt. I am from Augusta, GA. I have been in or by the water for as long as I can remember. Whether it be swim team for all of my elementary years, attempting to learn to ski, lifeguarding, or teaching kids to swim, the water is a big part of who I am. I have worked with kids of all ages, and even taught the sweetest girl who did not speak English to swim. I have also worked with kids who have autism and down syndrome. When I’m not at Swim Warriors, I am likely doing one of a million things. I take classes at the University of North Georgia, where I am on track to get a degree in business management as a student with high honors. In the future, I plan to do work exchange around the world, growing and learning about culture. Then I plan to open my own coffee shop and call it Olive Branch Coffee Co. I want to open a business where the coffee shop I created becomes a part of someone’s regular day. It can be the place they look forward to or the small pick-me-up during the day. I strive to live that way, in general. My mornings are filled with studying the Bible and weightlifting. My day is filled with either working at Swim Warriors, doing schoolwork, or getting coffee and doing, oh yeah, more schoolwork. When time allows, I find hiking and sitting in the mountains in silence or with a friend to bring the biggest smile to my face. My nights are filled with BCM, small groups, and other get-togethers to build an uplifting community around me. I love kids with my whole heart. I believe that while what you do may not single-handedly be able to alter the world, one conversation with a kid can truly change their life. I have babysat for many years, volunteered in children's ministry running small groups, worked as a camp counselor, and worked alongside kids for essentially forever. I have a baby cousin, who I guess is not so little anymore, who has taught me that pouring into a kid is one of the best things you can do. I get reminded of that every time I come home from college and get the biggest hug on the face of the earth. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your kids' lives.

If I could give you any advice, I would say growth is exponential; while it may not seem to be going anywhere at first, when it clicks with each swimmer, their growth will be something you cannot imagine.
