Liv Nix

First Year Instructor

Hi! My name is Olivia “Liv” Nix.

I am a Junior at Chestatee High School, actively participating in various activities and clubs that enrich my high school experience. This is my second year as a year-round swim instructor, a role that I am incredibly passionate about. My journey with swimming began at the age of 7 when I joined a local swim team, and my love for the sport has only deepened over the years. In addition to swimming, I enjoy playing volleyball and have a strong passion for dance.

Working with kids is one of my greatest joys. I especially love helping brand-new swimmers overcome their fears and build confidence in the water. It's incredibly rewarding to see their progress and excitement. I always strive to make learning fun and engaging, constantly looking for new and creative ways to teach and inspire young swimmers.

After graduation, I plan to attend college and pursue my dream career as a pediatric occupational therapist. Children with special needs hold a special place in my heart, and I am deeply motivated to bring joy and support to their lives. In addition, I am certified in CPR/AED/First Aid in adult and pediatrics through the American Heart Association.

Outside of my academic and professional pursuits, I am deeply involved in my church community, where I find a sense of belonging and purpose. My family is incredibly important to me, and I cherish the time we spend together. I have three older sisters and two brothers-in-law, and we share many laughs and create wonderful memories together.

In my free time, you'll often find me at the lake, enjoying activities like boating, tubing, and, of course, swimming. The water is my happy place!

I am excited for another season at Swim Warriors!

"My advice to swim parents is to always have a positive attitude, no matter what your kid is trying to overcome they always start off a little slow, and then they rocket out of nowhere. They will learn to water and will have a good bond with their teachers and learn to love, Swim.”"
