Kara
Cullinan
First Year Instructor

Hey! My name is Kara Cullinan and I am so excited to be joining the Swim Warriors team as a swim instructor!
I am 17 years old and a senior at South Forsyth High School. I have been swimming for my whole life and it is a huge part of who I am. I started swimming on my neighborhood swim team when I was 4 years old and quickly found that swimming was what I wanted to pursue! I have now been swimming competitively for 11 years. I enjoy working with kids and being able to connect with them. I have been a coach at my neighborhood swim team for 4 years and I love it! Swimming has impacted my life in the best way possible and it is a goal of mine to teach this amazing skill/sport to the younger generations and share my love for swimming. I currently swim for the varsity swim and dive team at South Forsyth High School, as well as swim on the Nationals group at Swim Atlanta, Midway. I am certified in CPR/AED/First Aid in adult and pediatrics through the American Heart Association.
I plan on continuing my academic and swimming career at the collegiate level and will be majoring in elementary education. My love and passion for this sport is what urges me to help children swim!
My best advice for parents is, always speak positively about lessons and keep encouraging your swimmers that lessons are fun! Positivity is the key to success!!!!
