Third Year Instructor

Hi, my name is Gargi and I’m so excited to be a swim instructor this year!

My love for swimming began when I was 8 years old and I joined my first year-round swim team, the Princeton Tigers. Through them, I received one-of-a-kind, collegiate-level swim instruction and this shaped my swimming talent today. After moving to Georgia, I joined the Chattahoochee Gold Club team and year-round for the past three years. Swimming is a huge part of my life and I can’t wait to share my love for the sport!

Because I love spending time with children and helping them grow, I began tutoring fifth-graders in math and reading. I loved seeing the improvements they made throughout the weeks of lessons! The sport of swimming itself holds a very special place in my heart, so teaching children how to swim is a passion of mine. Truly, I am looking forward to being there every step of the way to help your child reach their full potential!

I will be a sophomore majoring in Biomedical Sciences at The University of Alabama at Birmingham this coming fall. Also, I graduated from South Forsyth. In addition, In addition, I am certified in CPR/AED/First Aid in adult and pediatrics through the American Heart Association.. My hobbies include, of course, swimming, lifting, hanging out with friends, spending time with my awesome German Shepherd: Cooper, and listening to music.

I can't wait to meet you all soon.

""My advice to parents would be to implement the lesson criteria into casual swimming. Continue practicing outside of lessons as this helps reinforce the new skills learned. This can also help children become more confident in lessons and in themselves!"

“Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.”

I was first exposed to this quote when it was painted on the wall of the gym my swim team used for conditioning. I would regularly see this quote, but it really did not resonate with me until later in my life. There have been so many instances where I wasn’t sure if my ability and talent were enough to get me through challenges, but through putting in the work I realized anything I set my mind to was possible.

I look forward to implementing this mindset and helping your child reach their goals!
