Katie Havlik

First Year Instructor

Hi there!

My name is Katie, and I am from Gainesville, Georgia. I am 19 years old. This summer will be my first one teaching for Swim Warriors Inc. I graduated from North Hall High School in 2021 and I am currently a sophomore at Georgia Southern University. I am majoring in Business Management with a minor in Interior Design. Go Eagles!

I am currently working on earning my real estate license and hope to own an interior decorating company in the near future! I am also a member of the Kappa Mu chapter of Phi Mu at GSU! Our philanthropy is Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, and we spend a lot of time with kids! It is an absolute blast, and there is never a dull moment! I am also certified in CPR/AED/First Aid in adult and pediatrics through the Red Cross.

Thinking back on my life,  I have made a ton of memories in the water. I love swimming for the exercise and the fun of it. ! I also love going to the lake with my friends in the summer. In my free time, I love hiking, painting, spending time with friends and family, going to the lake with my friends, and loving on my doggies! I have two younger brothers; Whitt is 16 and Miles is 12. I live with my grandparents and our pets, Bella, a Great Pyrenees, also two Springer Spaniels, Brodie and
Sadie, and our cat, Peach!

I am excited to get this season started and teach some life-saving skills this summer!

"The best advice I can give to parents with swimmers is to have patience! It takes time and can be a process for your swimmer to get skills down. Every kid is different, and you just have to trust the process!"

MY FAVORITE SWIM MEMORY

There are so many great swim memories I have made with family over summer vacations. We have a home in St. Simons Island, Georgia and my family loves going to the beach together. Going in the water at low tide and swimming out to the sand bar with my cousins is one of my favorite memories to date.
