Emma Golota

Second Year Instructor

Hi! My name is Emma Jean Golota.

I am a rising senior at East Forsyth High School. I love being a part of the Swim Warriors family and can't wait to meet you and your little swimmers! I have always had a strength in connecting with kids. My goal is to provide help and direction to aid my swimmers in achieving each and every skill while still having fun. I love working with all ages of kids, and I look forward to the opportunity this year to teach and develop relationships with swimmers and their families.

One of my passions is using my creativity through design, I was an intern this year for promotional advertising marketing at my school. In addition, I have taught students of all ages in gymnastics. Need a babysitter? I’m your girl! I nanny on a weekly basis, for infants up to twelve years old. I am also certified through the Red Cross in adult and pediatric CPR, first aid, and AED training.

During my downtime, you can find me spending time with my family and friends. In addition, I have been active in gymnastics since I was 3 years old, and I am a cheerleader at my high school.

Growing up I have always lived on the lake, making me fall in love with the environment and the memories of being around the water brings. I hope to share my love and respect for the water, as well as my knowledge of safety with your swimmers. I am ecstatic to bring my passion for teaching children and my love of the water together in one job. Let’s create fun memories, build our relationship, and teach safety together.

I can’t wait to dive into the season, and I’m super excited to take teaching to the water! Watching my students understand and prosper through their journey is so heartwarming. I can’t wait to meet everyone!

My 2 sons (almost 2 and almost 4) and I LOVE Miss Emma G! My almost 2 year old cried pretty much the entire lesson every single lessons and if it weren’t for Miss Emma’s patience with him I would not have wanted to continue his lessons. She would calmly talk to him, love on and comfort him, and then safely continue the lesson. He doesn’t like to, but he can roll and float on his back, which is all I wanted from his lessons. My 4 year old is wild and fearless and Miss Emma did a great job keeping him focused on learning while still being wild! She was perfect for my boys!

MY FAVORITE QUOTE

“Strive for excellence” - Genny Lang

My fifth grade teacher said this to us every time we left her room at the end of the day, it has become routine after 6 years. I love this quote because it does not ask a person to be perfect, it encourages them to be the best version of themselves or their work they can possibly be. I cannot wait to strive for excellence with you and your swimmers in the water this summer!
